Certifying Automotive Electronic Solutions

چکیده
The failure of electronic components is one of the relevant reasons for breakdowns in the automotive domain today. The number of breakdowns that could be traced back to bugs in the electronic system has increased to 55 percent. Analysts expect a further increase of electronically induced breakdowns of up to 60 percent in 2004 [1]. However, sustainable innovations in the automotive industry are increasingly dependent on more complex electronic and software systems.

Improved architecture design and a product line approach are e...
متن کاملQualifying Software Tools According to ISO 26262
The growing adoption of safety standards in the automotive industry results in an increasing interest in as well as an increasing uncertainty about software tool certification and qualification. With ISO 26262 on the horizon, new tool qualification requirements need to be understood and implemented by automotive software practitioners. This paper summarizes the tool qualification approach of IS...
متن کاملEvaluating Modeling Solutions on Their Ability to Support the Partitioning of Automotive Embedded Systems
A pool of competing modeling solutions have been proposed to cope with the problems induced by the growing complexity of automotive embedded systems, i.e. the E/E (Electric/Electronic) systems of automobiles. As the principal features of these solutions are axed around modularization and high level of abstraction, it is necessary to investigate their ability to support the implementation. An ob...
